Surely this has to qualify. It is most graceful and it has been dilapidating for about 1000 years. I got to return there again this summer. It's an amazing place.

SMAC,

These old Mayan ruins certainly meet the standard in one manner or the other. I suspect they were even more "dilapidated" when the first Europeans saw them and before restoration.
