Here are two shots of the same farm taken ten years apart. The first was shot in November, 1997 and the second three days ago.

The first is a scanned 35mm negative. Camera was a Nikon N70, film was Kodak Max 800.

The second shot with Nikon D100, Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 lens.

The trees have grown larger in ten years and the clutter around the barn has changed. It is not clear from these shots but the shed to the right of the bar was the same color as the barn. Now it is a brownish color.

I think the digital shot from the D100 is sharper.

Its amazing how little things have changed in 10 years. Looking at the small V shaped tree beside the driveway, it doesnt seem to have grown at all. But interesting shot. Im looking forward to the next one in 2017.

It took me ten years to find that place again! I have spent several hours last week searching aerial photos on Microsoft's Terraserver map site and couldn't find it. Then this past Sunday we went for a drive and I followed up a hunch and found it within 30 minutes. Go figure!

If you werent so proud you could have asked your wife for directions. Would have saved you years.

I see the place is no longer for sale!! LOL

It's more surprising to me how the place didn't change, except for the growth of the trees.

I like the lead-up to the barn you creaed by composing the image.

Looks like a great place to spend some time.

I misread that sign, also. It wasn't the farm for sale but hay. The name on that sign is the same name currently on the mailbox.

These are great, I love revisiting places! I love how the fence posts have changed over the years!

Nice composition, Cal. I like the pathway up to the barn.

Reminds me of the birthday card my (younger) brother sent me, a long, longtime ago :-

"Forty isn't old!...
....if you're a tree!"

Reminds me very much a a recent work by a famous photog in which he goes back to a small town after some 20+ years to re-photog everyone still ali\bve.

As you can imagine, very revealing.
