This is anotherimage and colors thatare associated with fall in my area. The spawned out salmon provide food for eagles, bearsand amultitude of other animals. Nitrogen fertilizer, from these fish, has been found in trees miles away from the river.

Philby,

Took me some time to untangle the life form of the fish in that mass of skin, bones, and meat. I guess that comes from not being very observant of nature or my local supermartket butcher when he filets our fish.

Very stark and dramatic. The inclusion of nitrogen fertilizer in the life cycle is of course reminscent of DDT in birds as documented by Rachel Carson.

Keep shooting and reminding us of our need to be more savvy about what's happening in our environment.

The nitrogen is a good thing, it has been going on for millions of years.
