Seasonal color changes are a misnomerhere down south but some plants do exhibit an occasional change or two. Sometimes they may even do this once or twice a year.

The ornamental Read Sealing wax palm isquite colorful with its red trunk rising up vertically displaying various shades of red against a green background. These are not cheap plants and when available cost several hundred to thousands of dollars.

This specimen is undergoing some life change and was on display at one of our local malls. I came by it recently and it is quite a sight. Enjoy.

Interesting picture. It's fun to see plants from another part of the world. Great clarity.

I think you have answered a question for me, Selvin. I have often wondered if any of the trees in Hawaii shed their leaves in Autumn. If not, you are really missing some of the seasonal beauty of the mainland.

Interesting story about the palm. I think we may have seen one in one of the botanical gardens when we were there. Thanks for posting.

Beautiful, almost abstract image. Very sharp and unusual.

This makes for a very interesting photo. It looks a bit like decorative bamboo :-)

I could live without the color changes -it's a trade off for warm weather.
