I've been stalking this shot for months, ever since the field was harvested (see 'Landscape photos' : http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...amp;forum_id=8 )

Our change to GMT from 'British Summer Time' at the weekend plus the first nice weather for ages gave me the opportunity yesterday. (The family were still asleep.) This entailed climbing out of the bathroom window in my nightclothes, to reach a suitable viewpoint on our flat-roofed utility room. The seasonal colours aren't the trees, which, as you can see, are only just getting there, but the glorious golden projection screen of stubble.

...and while we can't compete with New England, there are some nice leaves about, demonstrating typical English subtle restraint...

Nice job, Alan. You are brave for getting up so early and going out on the roof!

I like both shots.

Two pretty shots, I like the subtle patterns made by grass in the first shot.
