Taken last weekend at Halibut Point State Park in Rockport, MA. http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/northeast/halb.htm From the scenic overlook you can see all the way to Maine. Except for the wind, it was a beautiful day.

Beautiful shot. This is a great example of scale, if you had not included the house in the photo I would have never guessed how grand this scene was!

beautiful! Today might be an interesting day to visit there. Going to get abit wild with Noel coming up the coast.

Thanks, everyone. It certainly made you feel small standing up on the cliff (well, as close as I'd go to the edge) and looking out at that expanse of water forever and ever and ever.

vsch1 - It certainly would be an interesting day to be there today. It's only raining here right now. Pretty steadily at that. But, no wind yet. I'm about 15 miles straight line in from the coast.

A beautiful scene, the house looks so small and lonely in the scene.

Beautiful scene. I have always wanted to visit that part of the country to see scenes just like that. Whenever my wife asks what is the place I would most like to visit on vacation, my answer is always the same, the New England coast.

I, too, pray that Noel will be "gentle" to the people of this area. It looks like it is not going to hit head on but pass to the Northeast. It will probably still do a lot of damage.

Thanks, tcook, Cal and dcg0317. We didn't end up getting much but steady, heavy rain where I live. Lots of leaves out of the trees now.
