Couldn't resist these, high on the tree you've seen before...

As these images have attracted no attention at all, I thought I'd share the sad news that the apples fellfell off last night, and were too bruised to be useful except as compost. Is the image that boring, or is it the time of day when I posted it (8.38pm GMT on Saturday night)?

Exactly the same happened to my shot of stacked tower cranes in the "Rows" shootout... http://forums.steves-digicams.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=579263&forum_id=85

Alan, these are both lovely. I didn't see them before.

Sometimes I'm in a hurry or get interrupted and miss some shots. The same thing happens to mine sometimes. Is it that bad a shot or are people just to busy? Hard to tell.

Thanks very much, nhmom. When a shot has gone uniquely neglected, it does get me worried!

Some people just don't know good shots when they see them. Maybe they are speechless. Same happens to me also.

These are nice crisp (no pun intended for the apples) shots.

Thanks for sharing them.

Those apples look good enough to eat! The rose hips look nice also but I'm not sure is you can eat them. I know they contain a lot of Vitamin C.

As for not commenting previously, I try to comment on all postings but it gets overwhelming with the number of posts each day. I check in several times thoughout the day and if there are a lot of postings, I will look at a few each time. Eventually, I get through all of them. Occasionally, I miss some. I rely on the green down arrow the forum software puts next to the subject line to flag new posting or new responses since last viewed. Sometimes I will briefly view a new posting but defer commenting until later. Unfortunately, this removes the arrow/flag and when I come back, I don't always remember which one I needed to comment on and unless someone else posted a comment, thus restoring the flag, I lose track of it. Consequently, if I miss commenting on a posting, it is due to laziness in not commenting the first time I view it. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Cal

I just caught up to this post myself. The vibrant colors in both shots are outstanding. I agree with Cal, the apples look delicious. Sorry, they couldn't be enjoyed, a steaming hot apple pie comes to mind. Yum.
