Now that is red...on red! Great shot. I like how clear the red berries are. Red used to be the nemesis of color print film users and I have found it causes problems with digital also. I find that it tends to oversaturate. However, not in this case.

Thank you all for the encouragement.

Cal, my previous camera had poorly saturated reds, this one seems to get them much better. Blues too for that matter.

I have really enjoyed the seasonal colours challenge - not just the fun in finding my own pics, but I've been blown away by the quality of so many of the posts! What a great worldwide community of people with common interests!

Nice photo. Your camera handled the reds very well. May I ask what camera and what special tecniques, if any, did you use?

Olympus evolt 510 with the 18-180 lens. The colours I get are outstanding. I do a little bit of post processing to improve contrast, but not much .

Very pretty shades of red, I bet you will have some birds coming along to eat those berries.
