I hope to go there in the spring as I bet it is really something when in bloom.
If you take 39th ave from the gardens then it is about 3.5 miles to the park. 39th goes right by it.

I just got out the Thomas Guide map book of Portland and determined that we were both wrong about the location of Laurelhurst Park. It is not next to Crystal Springs but about a mile or so North of that location. I still want to go see it. I know for sure, now, that I've never been there. When you get up this way again, let me know and maybe we can show you around or do a photo shoot together.

Thanks Cal, we are getting settled in but still have some things to move. It looks like the weather is about to turn bad so I wish you luck in getting some fall shots this weekend. Maybe after things settle down for us and there is some good weather we could get together for a shoot.
BTW I visited a place called Mount Tabor when visiting a few months ago and as I recall it has a wonderful view of the city and might be an ideal place for some fall color shots. It is not to far from the two places we discussed so you might want to check it out if you get the chance.

The last time I was in the vicinity of Mt. Tabor, I couldn't figure out how to get up on top of it even though I've been there before!!
