I must be wonderful to be able to have a place to contemplate. In the first shot, is that a hollyhock flower in the background? I didn't realize they just keep blooming and blooming.

Well I didn't think there were any, but now you've made me look, the birdtable has A, I, w, and m, I realise.

Yes Selvin, it's a Hollyhock, well spotted. I asked my wife, whose pride & joy is the garden, when I started trying to take the shot last week. It was the worse for wear when I took the shot, having bloomed all summer, and the night before last it blew away.
