I had a heck of a time teaching these fish how to form the letter "T".

These are the colorful Japanese koi or carp from one of our local shopping malls.

Selvin, that'sreally acreativejob which reminded me a work by the Chinese painter Liu Ts'ai: 'Fishes 'painted with ink on silk!

Nicely done, Selvin.

Wonderful color on this one, selvin. The times I have shot koi have been in outdoor pools and the water has never been clear enough to do their colors justice.

NhMom, Bahadir, TrojanSoc, Calr,

Thanks for your comments.

Bahadir, the reference to
Quote:

provides a classical interpretation that I had not thought about originally. Now that you have included a sample of his work I can see the similarities. Thanks for the enlightment.

NhMom,

These fellows have got a whole bag of tricks up their fins. In this shot they're learning how to pile on as in "football".

TrojanSoc,

Shooting koi or any fish for that matter is part luck part persistence. I've found the focussing to be the trickiest to get correct beause of the underwater dimension.
