Compact fluorescent lamp? But I don't understand the fitting behind. O well! Theta'll do as my answer. Nought to be lost by trying.

I hadn't been able to find much of my own lately. But, I did see this one this morning in the bathroom when getting ready for work.

Nice job, Walter.

Walter,

I'm as energy sensitive as much as the next guy but our local media has been barking about CFLs ad nauseam.

Very nice close-up.

Yes, it's an energy saving bulb. Had to find a way to sit it upright for the shot, so I placed it in the output tray of my fax machine.

Oh, fax! I thought it must be an unusual N.American power point (remember them, before Powerpoint was invented), perhaps a 2-pin shaver socket, with a matching compact fluorescent.

Just shows it is all in how you look at something.

Nicley done Walter,

I see an O and S!!

I knew it was a compact bulb right away 'cause we have a few in our house also. We are replacing the old style with these as they burn out.

When I first saw this, I knew it was a fluorescent bulb but I thought it was a top-down view of an outdoor fixture with the top removed.
