Shot in Laurelhurst Park in East Portland, Oregon. I was looking for squirrels to photgraph when I spotted this.

The whole alphabet must be in those bare branches somewhere. Along with Waldo ("Where's Waldo?"). :-)

Yeah, we went over there Sunday afternoon. It was a dual purpose trip. Portland's best music store is just a couple blocks away on Burnside. There are a couple CD's I've been looking for. They had one of them.

Anyway, we took the dog (4 year old Sheltie) with us and she loved it. It was cold and windy and I didn't have a jacket so I froze! The pond/lake was completely roped off with warning signs saying "Toxic Algae Bloom". Needless to say we avoided contact with the water.

We made a mental note to go back next year when things are looking fresher and alive. That note went right next to the note to revisit a park we stumbled accross in Hillsboro that is quite beautiful.
