My wife performs a joyful piece of Haydn's 'Creation' at me, loudly, in preparation for singing the soprano solos in a concert a little later. It's probably the bit near the end, a duet for Adam & Eve, about "Life with thee is incessant bliss". Haydn, a bit of a joker, goes on and on about it so incessantly that he clearly had his tongue in his cheek.

Sharp-eyed viewers may see a picture of a snowy mountain hanging on the wall behind. This is not just a snowy mountain...

...it's my daughter performing, probably a bit of a Vivaldi concerto, on the Sognefjell plateau in Norway in 1997. (From a not-very-well-scanned 35mm negative.)

I particularly like your first shot Alan. It shows a bit more of the personal side of you. Thanks for sharing.

Since her tongue is clearly not in her cheek, can we assume that she truly believes that life with you is always blissful? If so, how do you manage it? :-)

Two very nice photos. I think we've seen that second one before, a year or two back.

Gee, I wish I had a memory like that (I used to have). Can you remember what 'challenge' it was?

I don't have that good a memory but I finally figured how to use the forum search function and found it. The challenge was "Musical" and the title was "Extreme Violin Practice"" Here is a link:

Oh yes, you do! Thanks, Cal. I see it wasin Sep05 "Musical". We also did 'performers' in Oct-Nov05. It's on p91 of the 'Challenge' posts, for any ice-core/tree-ring dating enthusiasts who want to annotate the list of Past Challenges.
