Caught this guy a couple of weeks ago having a wintertime snack on a dove it had killed in the neighbor's front yard. He let me get within about 15 feet to take this picture. I liked the feather in his mouth.

I am not sure if it is eating or collecting feathers for its nest. Nice shot.

Either way, that is a dead dove.

Deceased, dead, turned up its toes, an ex-dove, fallen off its perch, a stiff,'passed on, is no more, has ceased to be, expired and gone to meet 'is maker,a stiff!, Bereft of life, rests in peace, pushing up the daisies, 'is metabolic processes are now 'istory,'e's off the twig, 'e's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible.

THIS IS AN EX-(dove)!!

How appropriate Alan since that wasnt a dove but a parrot in disguise. Now an ex-parrot in disguise. :blah:

Nice capture. I haven't ever seen a bird eat another either.
