First of all, skateboarding can be an expensive sport -- especially for those who try the more difficult "tricks". I can attest to that, and here is the proof. My son with the many boards (at $35-$50 each) he had broken back in 2003.

Down by the Huntington Beach pier, on Main Street, there is a bulldog who is a regular. He brings his own skateboard and actually can skate on it. It's a "hoot" to watch. Just don't try to take it away from him.

Your son's skateboards look very well used! Looks as though he gets his money's worth out of them! :G

Love the dog too...I'd love to see the dog do his thing on that skateboard!

I think nowadays, a good skateboard costs several hundred dollars (US$). Great shots. Thanks for the info on the dog.

Cal, I was referring to the board itself ($35-$50). Then there is the "grip tape" that is applied to the top (for traction), the "trucks", the wheels and the bearings. All together, you are right, you'll spend about $200 for a quality setup. It's the boards that break and have to be replaced most often.

That's quite the collection there. Hope he paid for them with his own money!

And one more from earlier this week. He can do some amazing stunts, and I'm amazed that he hasn't been seriously injured. Those skateboarders take some serious risks.
