This ceiling fans as different colored blades. (I guess this counts as fan and blades!!!)

I think this came out pretty good with an exposure time of 1/4sec.

Excellent capture of the colors. The creation of a terrific color wheel is a real bonus.

It looks like the exposure was timed just right to separate the four colors of the blades. Great capture.

I see you have vanity bulbs installed in the fan instead of traditional fan bulbs. Do you find they provide more light? With the vibration of the fan, do you find they don't last very long. I think ceiling fan bulbs are more rugged. I know this is off topic but maybe other people want to know, also.

Cal, Thank you for the comments. The bulbs were in the fan when we bought the house several years ago. They were in a boys room at the time and were supposed to resemble baseballs. We don't use this room very much, but the bulbs seem to hold up quite well, and even though the fan is for kids, we like the colors. Plus it really move the air quite well. As for more light, I think because they are not diffused by a cover they provide more light.

Cool shot. If you hadn't said "and blades" I would have thought this was a naked light fixture with a circle on the ceiling.:-)
