It's called 'mountain boarding' and it seems to me to bear the same relation to skateboarding as ski-jumping to downhill skiing. I have confined myself to langlauf cross-country skiing, mostly on the flat, and using traversing-falling-down-and-getting-up-again turns on steep downhill sections.

This is less than a mile from home, near the primary school my children attended. Just over the hill past the farm at the top right is 'Bolesworth Castle', a Victorian Stately Pile, and this, on its estate, is a tourist attraction in summer called 'SuperBole'. On the left by the bank a sort of ski-tow is set up in the summer season.

I took the picture on my birthdaystroll on a glorious day last February.

He made it over the smaller jump, but my 2fps 'motordrive' failed to catch him in the air...

Good find on this one and yes, it looks like skatebording but with bigger wheels.

Cool shots, it would be neat to see some shots flying off the jump also.

Best regards,
