Great shots, mugmar! Some digestive system those gulls must have.

Thanks for the comments. After he finished downing the fish, he needed a very long runway before he could take off and fly!!!!

These are really great shots mugmar. But to anyone else reading this, please give a bit of thought to your next post. A feather does not always mean a bird. Show some creativity please. How about an exotic dancers fan? Or perhaps a feather duster or something else besides the obvious.

Hey, Bynx, this is my challenge and when I included feather in the list, I was hoping to see a variety of things not the least of which was birds. I have no problem with all the bird shots. I am thinking of posting some old photos of Australian black swans.

Regarding an "exotic dancer's fan", how about just the exotic dancer?? :blah: Just kidding!!

If we see more subject with feathers, that's fine. If we see more birds, that's fine, too.

Yes your challenge but I think some creative thinking should prevail. Feather = bird is kind of obvious. Here is an example of what I mean. This is a Shunga Feather. The label on the jar tells it all. The Shunga Feather is the applicator. From there just use your imagination. :-)

Thanks for the support Cal,

Feathers on a bird may be obvious, but there have been many well composed and interesting shots of birds in this challenge, and I really look forward to seeing more. Ones creative eye does not always please everyone but they should not be belittled fortheir efforts.

Sorry mugmar. My words were not meant for you but for anyone else reading them. I think your shots of the seagull and fish are exemplary. However, I still stand by my wish to see some creativity in the use of objects. Actually in the Challenge it was stated feather, not bird so it gives some leeway for creative thinking. I hope you post your shots used here in the Wildlife section as well since they are worth seeing by others who might not venture to the challenge area. For more oddball thinking check out my Bynx Button post. :?
