Yo Ho Ho! Aaaargh, Matey. I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your ship down. Great shots.

Excellent shots. Sand sculpture contests really bring out the talent in people. With time working against you, it is amazing the quality that can be achieved in a short time. It is too bad they don't last very long. If it is warm, the sand dries out very quickly and the sculptures crumble.

Wow the detail in this one is mind boggling. Even wood textured sand.

Thanks. To give some perspective as to how large these are, here is one from last year with a person in it.

Yesterday, it was the Topsfield Fair. It is amazing to watch them work on it.

The principal sculpture is Justin Gordon. A true genius at his craft. You can find more about him here: www.elwindesigns.com

Nhmom,

Where were these taken? That sand looks first rate quality.

Nice shots.

Selvin, these were taken at the Topsfield, Massachusetts fair. I'm not sure where they shipped the sand in from.

Here's a photo of the board that explained some of the sand sculpting.
