Back when 3-piece suits were fashionable I collected several pocket watches. Without vests, they are no longer practical to carry, but they are truly works of art. Here's one.

Outstanding shots, Walter, especially the interior macro. The craftsmanship shown here is hard to find these days. However, there is a company in New York, I believe, that still hand crafts very elegant watches. They were featured on the television show "Made in America". For the most part the work is done hand. They do have some very old machines whick they still use to create the spiral patterns seen on the framework of the watches. It was very fascinating to watch this program.

Very nice image of the inside. Looks like it is clean and kept in great shape.

That is a really nice watch and you did a great job of photographing both the outside and the inner works.

My husband has my father in laws pocket watch (not sure how old it is)..but he also has a couple gold watch fobs.

Very nice. It is a beautiful time piece. It's a shame that fashion dictates it's usefulness.
