Okay Cal, I hope I'm doing it right this time. Two post, two photos each right?

Again, this is an easy one.

The Color Purple for the first one, and, since others have said Indpendence Day, and the background looks a little like a birth announcement, I'll say "Born on the 4th of July."

You've grown up to be big boys & girls since you left 231 and a bit years ago, haven't you? What will the next 231 years bring?

The Color Purple and Independence Day are correct. Born on the 4th of July is a good one too though. Good work everyone!

"The Colour Purple"?

This is such a beautiful patch on the screen that I've taken a little copy, so I can inspect its RGB values with my eye dropper, and use them in captions, birthday cards.and the like.

If I'm right, I hope you've seen the poem "When I am old woman I shall wear purple" http://lorry.org/Docs/Poems/Other/oldwoman.html, much appreciated by those of independent mind.

No hard feelings, Alan. We had to do it. I wonder if there will be another 231 years. Supposedly, the world ends in 2012?? That's what the psychics say. Are you a believer?? :-?

I'm glad you like my purple Alan. I have read "When I am an old woman I will wear purple" and love it! Do you know we have an organization here (at least in Texas, I don't know about the rest of the US) called The Red Hat Society that is based on that poem. The Red Hat Society is comprised of all older woman, and at each meeting the ladies wear purple outfits and red hats! As soon as I retire I plan to join! (Won't be long now!)

Cal, I believe the general thought about 2012 is that there will be a great many changes in the world, and our old theories, philosophies and beliefs will end and be replaced by new ones. At least I hope that is the way its going to work!
