Last night was entirely TOO cold to be playing high school soccer in Arkansas, but we did it anyway. Before I went to work coaching, I caught a couple of shots during the girls' match that pretty well showed how all of us felt.

BTW, the young ladies lost 3-0, while my boys' team cruised to an 8-1 win in which all I could think about was the warm bus waiting.

Between those shots and the light snow falling outside the window right now, I don't want to go outside today!!!!!

Great captures

Excellent shots. How do you play soccer on a frozen field? I would think that would be extremely dangerous not to mention damage done to the field.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I spent all day yesterday hoping for a call cancelling. The field was soaked from rain that fell before the temperature dropped yesterday afternoon. It had just gone below freezing at match time. Thus, ice was not a problem. However, cold, wet players was. (Today many of them are missing from my classes.) And yes, there was definite damage done to the field. Had it been my home match (especially since it was non-conference) I would have cancelled to protect the field for the rest of the season.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Thanks for the kind words on the photos.

Good captures. I would perhaps have tried not only for these profiles but also more direct face shots.
