Both these shots were taken using my right angle lens. In the first one as I was watching my subject in the lens he was watching me out the corner of his far eye. His nearest eye he closed to fool me.

Very nicely done. Are those right-angle lenses available in different ring sizes? Another question, does the R-A lens generate a mirror image which must be flipped in the editor or does it use a prism which somehow preserves the orientation?

I believe its one size fits all. You just need a step up ring from your present lens size to fit the scew on attachment. And youre correct in the image has to be horizontally flopped for correct viewing. The image is bounced off a surface coated mirror which is mounted at 45 degrees to the view. Once mounted the barrel with the hole can be rotated to suit the subject. Its tricky thing to get used to. It wasnt expensive but has really come in handy when needed.

Bynx,

These are well done candid portraits. The I note that there some digital noise quite noticeable in the first shot. is this due to your camera's high ISO setting or an artifact of the RA lens?

Cheers

The noise is due to the fact I shot a couple of photos. I have a number of candid portraits which have never seen the light of day until now. I find the bedoins an interesting people to say the least with a captivating look to their faces. A hard life and every line shows. The women are particularly interesting if you can catch them unveiled. Any further portraits I submit will be current shots if I can find someone who will sit still long enough.
