Very nice lighting and composition. The skintones are right on without unsightly shadows.

Holy cow!

Very nice shot. Normally I don't like "posed" photos but this one came out very well. Congratulations!

Thanks for your comments. I used abetterbouncecard that I made myself and a SB800 speedlight and D200. I was impressed with the effectiveness of abetterbouncecard in this situation.

This is a beautiful photo with one minor distraction, the gold bit between the two girls. It looks like it might be a purse strap. Whatever it is, it looks out of place.

After looking again, closely, it is possible that's what I'm seeing. Initially, it looked gold but on the second look, it appears to be green with blown highlights. Regardless of what color it is, I think it is distracting. A slightly different shooting angle (very slight!) would correct it. Now that it's shot, a little bit of work with the clone tool should fix it right up. We don't condone that in this forum but for your own use it would work great.

Note--We will be having a challenge coming up in which the post-processing rule will be suspended for two weeks. During that time, anything goes!

I see what you mean calr about it being distracting but it is not a blown highlight at all. It is not a purse strap of any kind as these two did not carry a purse at any time during the wedding and reception atwhich time this was taken.

It is part of the background and you can see something similar to the lower left of the photo. The background were reeds growing out of a pond behind them. Just so happens that there were no foliage in that area of the shot taken. If you look closer you can see some of her hair in the area of distraction.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Mahalo,

Tom
