Creative or technical......good question. Although no two shots are ever exactly the same one can duplicate the different phases of a water drop. Its just in the timing. Of course, Im just using my Fuji S700, the built-in flash, my left hand on the camera and my right hand on the eye dropper. Timing is everything but after a few shots a rhythm takes place. If you can afford gyzmos then you can have auto shutter releases so the results is always the same. Its no fun it its too predicatable. Now I would say that is technical. So the way I do it I would say somewhat creative aided by dumb luck. I get to choose the background, the colors of the drop and the base water. I decide if its one drop, or two, getting released so since its all up to me, Id say that isnt technical.

More great splash shots!

I am anxious to set the strobe function on my SB800 flash to the highest flash rate it will produce and see what does to dripping water. First, I need to find the book and refresh my memory on setting the flash rate!

Good work!

Quite interesting, Bynx. I'm going to have to read up on how to do this and experiment.
