I posted one of thesein the'backlight-silhouette' challenge in August, but this is a different frame emphasising the clouds, and they're my favourite cloud shots. I've been working on them lately to make big prints.

I've left lots of foreground, because of the two seabirds nicely posing where the currents meet as they feed, and because I like the way the reflective periodicity in the clouds adds stripes of light to the sea.

This is about 45 minutes later, from near the same place.

I was all alone with my camper van, at the end of very long, lonely peninsula, and I was overwhelmed (a) by the scenery, and (b) by the midges. (Curves twiddled for realistic effect, but nota lot.)

Both are stunning shots. I'd love to visit there sometime.

Very nice shots. Interesting interaction in the first shot and beautiful colors in the second.

Excellent second shot there Alan. The colors are spectacular. I like the definition between the island and the far lighter gray background.

Great work Alan! I think #1 is quite beautiful, very serene and peaceful looking.
