no photoshopping here, just some interesting cloud formations i saw one say while at the supermarket...

Don't these mushroom cloud formations portend some severe thunderstorms?

Very nice clear crisp shots.

Those are a couple powerful thunderstorm formations you have captured there. Pilots are always warned to steer clear of those anvil shaped clouds. The winds, updrafts and downdrafts are extremely severe in those beautiful formations.

Spectacular Thuncerheads. They look like they were taking right out of a meterology text book. Cal, you are right on. I seem to remember that there have been vertical wind shear speeds of a couple hundred mile per hour measured in some of those monsters.

Very nice. I always like seeing these clouds from a distance, I know what goes on underneath them!!!!
