Here are 2 other shots from that dramatic Sunset. The first one is, IMO, positively apocalyptic.
Thanks for looking,
Steve

This one is a little more serene, hopefully.

Yes smac, a very dramatic sky... both are nice and captured the mood appropriately

Great shots. Here in NH we don't get enough openings through the trees (unless at the ocean) to see so much sky.

That first photo could be a painting on display at a famous art gallery. Apocalyptic is right this is great!

Perhaps this challenge should be renamed to "77 Sunset Challenge" with all due respect to the excellent TV series "77 Sunset Strip" back in the 70s. These are outstanding shots.

Im collecting episodes of 77 Sunset Strip. That is the finest sky Ive ever seen. Id love to have been there for that smac. Thanks for showing me what the apocalypse will look like.

Thank you all very much for your comments. I happen to be heading over to this location (the Mendocino coast) this coming weekend and hope to get some more sunsets, lighthouse and spring flower shots.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
