Here is the "then" photo of Fairmount High School taken in the late 1940s, the school's main claim to fame is that James Dean graduated from it in the early fifties. I think I mentioned in a post long ago that my mother graduated from Fairmount the year after James did.

A classically beautiful old school building. Too bad they couldn't renovate and use it today. Good shots.

Bob,

Oh, if the walls could talk what stories they would tell. What must have been a lively center of activity for students and parenst alike is now but a shell ready to be pounced on by the wrecking crew. A pity.
