Very nice contrasting shot. Glad they could save the Bensinger building, but some other beautiful old buildings are no longer there.

Bill,

Great contrasting shots. Sometimes I walk inot the old buildings today and I am amazed at the effort that went into saving them especially brick buildings.

Aloha and thanks for sharing.

If they were Al Capone & pals, they'd improve the architectural decor of the FedEx Kinko's by spraying its grubby concrete wall with an artistic pattern of bullet holes.

Maybe a gentle mural of the old time adverts and the former, demolishedneighbouring upper storey would be better?

I think it is amazing that only two buildings in that block are preserved. I am guessing that the locals had to put up a real fight to save them.

Bynx, you need more bad guys with "Tommy" guns running around the street in your version.

It looks like the tore down some of the old buildings to replace them with what else - a parking garage.

I would like to see Bynx's newphoto converted to B&W.
