Awesome. We drove cross country about 30+ years ago. The Alamo was one of my favorite stops.

Bill,

When I first saw the Alamo for the first time I was not prepared for the proximity of buildings nearby. I guess the movie spoiled me into think there was a large open space surrounding it.

After, many visits I can see why it continues to be the cradle of Texan culture for the Anglos.

I thought at first your dialogue was going to say it was you as a young boy standing in the first photo. But, I remember from your other post you said you were in high school nearly 100 years later.:?

Nice shot Bill. The first time I saw the Alamo, I was supprised at how small it is.
