Taken in 1998 when it was brand new with a 35mm film SLR and scanned with a parallel port Plustek scanner on a Windows 95 computer:

Taken in 2008 with a 8MP Fujifilm F40fd, no film developing and scanning required:

Dr Spock

Oh yes, those were the days... the new exciting era of Windows 95, new styled VW bettles and parrallel port scanners! I love how you explained it.

The photos are interesting, I prefer the composition of the first (but it could be a bit larger). But colours, contrast and general clarity of the 2nd photo seems better. Perhaps the DSLRs really are good!! :-)

By the way, your car doesn't seem to have aged much!

Well done.

Paul

I remember how the "bug" prided itself on hiding the changes from year to year. Afficionados could reel off the annual changes in each bug, e.g. the faceplate, the rear lights, the location of some signal, etc.

Aloha and thanks for sharing.
