Today. The large sign blocking the view on the right is for Fourth Street Live.
From the website:
"Fourth Street Live! is Louisville's premier dining, entertainment and retail destination located on Fourth Street, between Liberty Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard, in the heart of historic downtown Louisville, KY."

Once again nice comparison Bill. It looks as if Louisville is really trying to preserve it's history.

Thanks,

Excellent series and supplemental shots. I am not familiar with the Louisville Lip but I assume it has something to do with the gentleman whose mug is plastered on the side of that building.

World heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali is from Louisville. His banter and relentless taunting of his opponents earned him the nickname "The Louisville Lip". Many buildings in Louisville have huge banners on them that portray the city's famous citizens. Here's another.
