On the grounds of one of the oldest elementary schools in Hawaii is a calendar wheel dedicated to the Hawaiian seasons. You will note images of fish, taro, birds etc.. which denote the periods of the year in which they are most abundant.

Very nice Selvin. You demonstrated the challenge and with it a great piece of sculpture which I love. My first thought Id change if I could would be to hollow out the sculpture and with small holes along the inside top Id have water pouring out them so the inside circle would be filled with vertical lines of water. Just my first thought. Its a beautiful sculpture.
