This shot was taken with my old point and shoot, on a cloudy, rainy day in August, as 40 tall ships sailed on parade during Tall Ships Chicago in 2006. I was very disappointed with the weather, but I was still able to get a few shots anyway. The ship is the Pride of Baltimore.

The second shot is from a local Civil War demonstration. It's not technically Old Glory, but it could have been if the war ended differently!!

When clipper ships reigned the ocean the Pride of Baltimore must have been a great contender.

We'll accept the second entry, you're right it could easily have been flying over the White House today.

Love the rake of the masts on the old ship. Well done in difficult situation.

Great shots. When I first looked at that ship, I thought it was the Cutty Sark.
