Wow! The colors are so brilliant against the drab background, the flag almost jumps off the screen.

I totally agree with Cal. The flag seems to jump out. Brilliant shot

DMJJR,

Great shot of a beautiful old U.S. Flag.

This flag has 7 white stripes and 6 red, instead of the normal 6 white and 7 red.

Anyone know why?

Wonderful shot DMJJR. The brightness of the colors is great.

Went to the reenactment there a few years ago. A very loud experience.

Googled this flag-actually call the "Bennington Flag" or the Green Mountain Boys Flag. A whole lot more info on www.flagspot.net

Thanks for all the kind words.

DMJJR,

Thanks for sharing this with us. As others have noted the contrast between the vibrant flag colors and the relatively drab background gives it even more impact.

Aloha

IMHO the branches seen through the blue canton add more impact. No PP on this-right out of the camera-just some minor cropping.

I echo every one else's comments. That's a beautiful shot.
