Excellent shot Walter. The tree reflection is very interesting. It makes the monument appear transparent since the limbs of the tree refection and the tree behind almost line up

Walter,

Great perspective in this shot. The reflection adds a brand new dimension and the lighting kakes it appear seamless.

Aloha and thanks for sharing.

Walter, you didn't say whether that is a Vietnam memorial. I suspect it is and I am wondering how many of these are located around the country. I know about the large memorial erected in Washington, D.C. Since that one was erected, there have been a number of local or state memorials built with similar architecture including a beautiful one in Portland, Oregon. I think the Portland memorial pays tribute to Portland area residents who were lost or missing in Vietnam.

Beautiful shot. I like the perspective and the reflection off the marble. Very well done.

Cal

(edit--I visited the Portland Vietnam memorial over the weekend and found that it is not limited to servicemen from Portland but from the entire state of Oregon.)

Yes, Cal, I believe that it is the Vietnam War Memorial. The park there in Springfield has a special section for each major conflict of the 20th Century.
