Well, this is the best I can do. Clearly an alien craft landed here last June, attached crocodile clips to the power line to recharge its batteries, in time-honoured Scouse (Liverpudlian) fashion, and took off, severely singeing the nearest tree .

I'm sure Bynx could provide a matching spacecraft, but 'not as we'd know it' and accept in this particular forum.

As you can see, they'd have been spoilt for choice for a hookup. Fortunately, an X-files investigator, or British equivalent was on hand to deal with it, under cover of dog walking.

I may have used this before in 'Vertical orientation' in June, but can't find the post, despite clever Googling. Apologies if I did.

I like the second the best as it reminds me of myself and my dog. Our akita is now 12 years only and the person and dog pictured look like they are moving at the same pace as Husker and I do. I call it a shuffle. Others have called is a mosey...

I am sorry but I have to put the kabosh to your crop circle/alien theory. I have seen those patterns of beaten down grain many times caused by the wind! Great photos.

I fear you may be right, Cal. But natural remarkably repetitive patterns have fooled many civilisations into imagining visitations from other worlds. Can this (see below) be an accident? Well, yes, it can.

The excuse for this image is that there are are lots of nice straight lines of stalks, bent into curves.

BTW, congratulations to NASA on successful Mars landing! Colin Pillinger (of failed 'Beagle' lander), is effusive about it, and wishes his Beagle experiments had been aboard. But no-one this side of the pond will pay.

Wow Alan, anything that can create such grass formations as that can surely built the pyramids. Thanks for your clear explanation. Also the dog is the guys wife. She walks on all fours due to a back injury when she fell off the wagon.
