Great shot for the current challenge and for the Framing challenge last year. It does not qualify for the Needle challenge because rectangular apertures are excluded. It is a beautiful shot nonetheless. I would like to see an exterior view of wooden bridge.

Thank you Cal, I didn't even think of the Needle challenge until you mentioned it. Cal, you have already seen the exterior of this wooden bridge, it the covered bridge that I have used berore.

This is a view from the newer bridge shot towards the covered bridge. You can see the portals through which my first photo was taken.
Cheers,
Steve

You can even see the people in the river trying to figure out how to jump UP on the bridge. Only kidding. But, why is that guy standing in the boat?

Steve, where was this taken? Northern CA? Doesn't look familiar to me.

Hi Patty, thanks for the look.
This was taken on Butte Creek near Chico, CA which is about 90 miles north of Sacramento CA
The guy standing in the raft was fishing a deep hole under the bridge.

All the best,
Steve

I've only been to Chico once and it was years ago. I went to UC Davis and lived near Sacramento as a young teen. Other than that was mostly in southern CA. Looks pretty up there. I thought it was by Johnsonville when I first saw it.
