Ah, so many questions this morning. The bulb in the second shot is 50w and should be much brighter. Do you have it on a dimmer or did you stop the lens way down. Another possibility is the use of neutral density (ND) filters.

As for the first shot...Merry Christmas!

1000th of a second, ISO 64, F13.6 ....... everything I could do to make the bulb as unbright as possible. By the way thats a 60 watt bulb.
