The Portland, Oregon metropolitin area has several large forest parks with dozens of hiking trails in each. This morning, my wife and I hiked several of the trails in Tryon Creek State Park. We hiked a total of two miles. The sun came out after a few days of clouds. The temperature was cool and it was very enjoyable. Here are a couple shots.

Cal,

Like your technique. The lighting is well controlled and the idea of having a slight curvature to the pathway hidden adds to the mystery.

I really like this one, Cal, particularly because of the lighting. Looks like the kind of place I'd love to visit.

I really like the first shot. Great color and lighting in both
