Philby,

In tis case my personal preference would be for the color verson. Although both are very good.

The DOF near/far effect is maintained pretty well considering the very low lighting conditions.

I, also, prefer the color version which is very well done. The BW conversion is rather dull. There are several other methods for doing BW conversion that give better results than greyscale. You might want to to refer back to the BW challenge we had awhile back. Several methods were presented and demonstrated there. Personally, I like the "Split channels to RGB".
