I'm lucky to have an avid gardner for a wife, who keeps things in bloom most of the year here. This time using a 135 2.8L lens on my 40D. A double delight rose.

Didn't see the fly 'til I was postprocessing.

You get a nice big fly, and I'm stuck with a little ole ant. :-) Two excellent shots.

I really like the rose, Walter. That is such a pretty color combination.

Do you know the name of that rose? I would like to purchase one to replace one of my rosebushes that isn't doing so good.

Great shots.

Hi Walter

Both nice photos, I prefer the first one. The rose has interesting gradients of colour within the one blossom.

The fly on the 2nd flower is a "cool addition". How did you train him?

It's good your wife keeps colours in your garden year round. I like the same, and as I've just purchased a house with a garden, hope to do the same...

Well done.

Thanks, all. Cal, the rose is actually named "Double Delight", one of our favorites.
