Colorado's state flower is always fun to photograph.

Wow, beautiful flowers, jeephotog - interesting formation

What is it's name? I also much say, the flower in your avatar is really beautiful too.

The narrow depth of field makes the background a blur, to make the flowers "pop" more.

Well done

Paul

Ps... maybe the flower's name is "Columbine" or "Columbine duet"... now I have re-read the sub-heading. But I'm not sure.

Hi Paul, Thanks for looking. The flower is a Columbine and grows everywhere in the State in Colorado especially along the slopes in the high country.

The only place I have seen Columbine in Oregon was in the Heritage Rose Garden just south of Newberg, Oregon. The examples in your photograph are much nicer. Good work.
