My wife absolutely hates Praying Mantis insects so I tried very hard to not include the one that was crawling across the Sun flower. Except, that is, for this one shot. I like the little guys.

Beautiful sunflower shot. However, I don't think I would call this a shallow depth of field. That is a large flower and 99% of it is in focus. With macro shots, a shallow DOF would be measured in eighths of an inch or in milimeters. To get this shot, I would assume you had to stop down the lens quite a bit to increase the DOF.
