Hi all!

Well, here is a humble kink in one of the outer strands of my washing line.

So I made some shallow depth of field photos of it, specially for this challenge!

A bit "arty" ... what do you think of this kink? I don't mean to kick up a stink.. but maybe I'm showing my artistic link!! Don't blink at my absurb rhyme... because I just gave you a wink!! Sorry folks... a rainy Saturday afternoon does this to me!!

Paul

Well... the above was taken with me facing WEST... the photo below is of the opposite direction.. i.e. me facing east.

A different background and perspective, but still that same kink with a shallow depth of field.

Regards

Paul

It looks to me that because of this kink you are not in the pink. To get the kink out I suggest a trip so here is a link. http://www.ireland-guide.com/countie...erick.734.html

As for the photo it is the background that makes the kink not stink. So I like the first photo of the kink with green but I think the kink would be better in pink.

Ok, enough of this link now I am not in the pink.

Ha... Bynk!!! Good on you.

and trust you for contributing in a very contributive and collaberative manner.

No nods or "sods" from the mods yet!? Hmmmm... what must I think of this break in their critical link about my kink... maybe it kicked up a stink in their pink think tank thing?

You people have got too much free time on your hands! Dirty minds might conjur up another interpretation of "kink" in the title but that's for others to contemplate.

Nice shots and very creative.

Thanks for being the faithful moderator, as always, Cal!

Well... when I first thought of a (sub)title for this post, the word kink came to mind... but then I thought "maybe this is just an Australianism... and not a recognised word outside of the land Down Under". So I checked on a few online dictionaries, for New Zealand, the UK, Canada, US and all seem to recognise the word as a proper, and non slang word.

So I used it (very innocently)... but because it's a rather unusual word my poetry juices started flowing and out come the little rhyme!

I certainly did not mean for the subtitle word to be offensive, and purposely it does not have the 2nd last letter of the alphabet attached to the end.

Glad you like the photo... it is amazing what a simple item (like a wire) can look like and I think even be an interested subject given the right light, and in this case particularly the shallow depth of field!

Thanks for looking and your much appreciated comments.

Well my internet is back bigger and better than ever. I have to say I wonder about the mind that things dirty things about the most innocent of words. A kink in a wire is a normal and oft used expression. Its a good shot and illustrates the challenge nicely.
