This kind of insect photography I like. The other creepy bugs and such, I can do without.

The DOF and details in the butterflyare exellent. What lens and settings did you use???

Both superb photos... colours and dof spot on!

Lovely sharp captures of indeed a more beautiful species of insect (than many of the creepy-crawlies!)

Thank you everyone, I used my Canon S3 is F 4 1/400 from about 6 ft away zoomed all the way in at 12X.

But I have to disagree with nhmom. That butterfly has a creepy face.

PhotoCarp,you're right. I don't think I've seen a butterfly with such big eyes before.
