Each year, my hometown of Hoylake plays host to the "Hoylake and West Kirby Lifeboat Day" Tens of Thousands of people are attracted from all over the UK to this massively popular fund-raising event, mostly hoping to catch the Red Arrows,the world famous RAF Display team.

Is that the same group of airplanes that flew over London while Michael Phelps was there during the closing of the Olympics. The tv crews were interviewing Michael on a break from the Bejing ceremonies and a flight of nine jets flew over.

Cal- I'm not sure about them flying over london, Where they in a very tight diamond or arrow formation? if so it would have probrably been them!

No, they were in a shallow vee formation of nine planes. There were three streaming each color, red, white, and blue.
