The tone of this one, as I played with it, made me think of World War II recruiting posters.

If this is a manipulation, what photo(s) is it based on? I haven't seen any unedited photos posted that could be the basis for this shot. If it was one of your own photos, that is specifically excluded in the challenge. Your manipulation must be based on someone else's posted, unedited photo(s).

LOL Cal....you don't recognize your own photos. The star background is a cut from the ball on your fire hydrant, repeated several times, then subjected to a series of color adjustments and adding the lighting effects. Uncle Sam's body is your salt shaker (one of the most versatile objects I've ever seen--note the lamp in the hotel room). On it, I used some mirror effects, color adjustments, and rotation. The only elements in the picture not from your original four are Uncle Sam's face and the lettering, which was typed directly in.

OK, my face is red! I didn't even notice the tiling of the stars. Uncle Sam's body had a familiar ring to it but I couldn't place it. You are totally exonerated and I apologize.

Good work.

lol....no apology is needed. I take it as a compliment that the manipulation was so complete the original creator didn't recognize it.

Paul

BTW Cal, you once asked me if the improvements in PSP 11 were worth the extra money to upgrade. This shot used one of the few real added features, the Time Machine effect, the simulate the grain and color texture of early color film and borders. Only about the third time I've had occasion to use the effect.
